Michael O'Brien was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona.  He attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated with a B.S. Finance, summa cum laude.  He then attended New York University School of Law, graduating with a J.D.

Upon graduation from law school, Michael worked in the Los Angeles Office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he was an Associate in the Corporate Department, and focused on corporate law, business transactions and mergers & acquisitions.  After leaving Skadden, he became the General Counsel at Anchor Management, LLC, in Tempe, Arizona.  At Anchor, Michael was responsible for overseeing all legal affairs for a portfolio of 50+ holding companies and subsidiaries, as well as analyzing new investment opportunities.  Michael then accepted a position as Operations Counsel at Clear Channel Outdoor, Inc., in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was in charge of managing all legal issues for the Airports division, which was comprised of over 200 airport advertising properties around the world. Michael returned to serve once again as General Counsel of AZ Crown Investments, LLC (the successor to Anchor Management), where he continued to manage the expanding portfolio of investments as well as the personal legal affairs of the company’s principals (ex-Fortune 500 CEOs and board members).

He formed Law Office of Michael O'Brien, LLC, to provide high quality legal services at a reasonable price.  Michael is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the State Bar of California, and has over 10 years of experience practicing law, with an emphasis on corporate law, business transactions and contracts.  He is also a former adjunct faculty member at Scottsdale Community College, where he taught courses in Management, Law and Business, and Owning and Operating a Small Business.
